Executioner in Santa Barbarella
The events, murders mostly, that brought Santa Barbarella into the news deserve an explanation. How did so many unsavoury members of a criminal family and their gang members come to be done to death in so many ways during the course of one winter? It all began in England with a clash of wing mirrors. It was not my fault. I arrived clueless on the Costa wanting only a warm winter to recover from my injuries. Instead I set off a string of events, one unintended consequence following another. And there was all this money, cash and papers that were too dangerous to hold. At least I was able to do something useful with my life. This is my unvarnished confession if I am caught by the wrong people.

How Cool Is My Village
Accountants are trained to see life in the raw.
Even so when I moved to an English village I had an eye opener. Incomers to an English village in the last half century and more have created an image from a picture book. Usually outnumbered are the old villagers and country folk, the descendants of those who extracted a mean living from a reluctant and cantankerous land. The modern soprano of wine and cheese and the tenor of lager and curry are tossed around with the ancient baritone of beer and football. They are bound together, all of them, by the unconquerable rhythms of sex. As I discovered these are widely known. What is not known is invented, often with surprising accuracy.

2066 And The Last Brexit
An English Nationalist campaign took Great Britain, the United Kingdom really, out of the European Union. This satire explores the further step of England taking itself out of Britain, once upon a time the Roman province of Britannia. What emerges is the creation of Ingland - the country that might have been if the English kingdoms and the old English-speaking kingdom in Scotland had been forged into a single state.
